Meet the Founder- My Story
Hello, I’m Andrea Normanton — Founder of Cosi London™
My background has always included a love for design, colour, textiles, and the comforting feel of natural materials. After earning my BA Honours degree in Textile Fashion Design and selling my designs in the UK and New York, creativity has always remained part of who I am.
In 2021, I faced an unexpected breast cancer diagnosis — an experience that reshaped my perspective and taught me a great deal about resilience, self-care, and the importance of comfort. During this time, I received incredible support from the charity Maggies.org, whose warmth and presence made a meaningful difference. Their support inspired a deep sense of gratitude that would later guide my brand toward giving back. As I approach my five-year milestone next year, I’m truly grateful to be here and to see Cosi London growing with purpose.
One idea stayed with me throughout that journey:
We all need to wrap ourselves in comfort — it’s essential, at every stage of life.
I wanted to create something that felt like a hug in a box — a gentle reminder that comfort and care can be shared without words, even from afar.
That realisation inspired me to create Cosi London — a collection of beautifully designed merino wool blankets and accessories for babies, adults, and the calm sanctuary of home. Extra-fine merino has a natural ability to protect, soothe, regulate temperature, and bring safe, lasting comfort. I wanted to bring nature’s “superpowers” into everyday life, wrapping people in luxurious softness and calm.
Cosi London is built with purpose.
In gratitude for the support I received, I am committed to donating regularly to Maggies.org, helping others feel the same warmth and care that helped me.
This brand is about comfort, kindness, and turning a challenging time into something beautiful — a reminder to embrace the little moments that make life feel good.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Your support helps bring comfort not only to you, but to many others who need it too.
